Courtesy Listings

This page is a service for private party adoptions or adoptions from parties involved in other rescue efforts. Adoption of a dog listed on this page is solely between the adopter and the party listing the dog. SCGRR has not evaluated the dogs listed below, is not responsible for these dogs, and is not liable for any consequences of an adoption. Potential adopters should meet the dog and conduct their own evaluation.

CASEY

Hi, my name is Casey and I am a purebred golden retriever. I am a  little shy because I'm not used to people being so nice to me, but  once I get to know you I'm very friendly. My foster mommy found me  in a horrible place and took me to the vet right away and then she  took me to her house and gave me lots of toys and some nice big dog beds to sleep on. I was too scared to sleep on the dog beds or come into her house for a while but now I like to lie in the doorway and take naps. I also give really good hugs. I am almost 7 years old and I am a mellow fellow most of the time but I do like to run and play at the park and the beach with my new doggie friends, so don't be too fooled by the white hairs on my face. I also like cats, children and nice people. Apparently I am doing so well now that people say I am ready to try and find my forever home. My foster mommy thinks I am the greatest and she says that I deserve a forever home where people will give me lots of love (my favorite thing is chin scratches by the way) and I would prefer a home where there isn't a lot of yelling. My favorite toys are the hedgehog and the big soft ones that I can carry around in my mouth and use as pillows when I decide to take a nap, so they will be coming with me for sure. I have a beautiful golden coat and the most adorable face. I like the food at my foster home and I am now my ideal weight at 85 pounds. LEENA

Leena is a 6-year old golden/chow female mix who is a calm and sweet. She is peppy on her walks and enjoys sniffing around in the garden. She gets along with other dogs, but might be best as an only dog. She has a cataract in one eye, but it does not slow her down one bit. Leena would make a wonderful companion for someone.  Contact goldensguardian@hotmail.com

Leena is an adorable friendly dog. She is a great protector. She loves walks and loves to eat. She likes to be around people. She wags her tail...you can tell she welcomes you. Leena is very clean and loves to be in the house. She is very smart and intelligent. If you need her to stay outside, she will. She poos and pees in designated areas. She knows to do so in dirt and other parts of the walk ways where it is safe. She's never done it in the house.

Leena needs love and care and in return she will love you as much as she knows how. Leena is longing for a family that will continue to pamper her. She is quiet and very self maintained in many ways. :)
