Violet is a super super sweet golden retriever that is 3 years old. She is a very loving girl that is in a foster home with several dogs and doggie visitors. She also lives with cats. Violet is very gentle and such a wonderful dog! Violet came to us with a horrible skin infection and allergies. Her foster mom has taken such excellent care of her and has her on a very special regimen that costs about $300 a month. Over the next year, this amount should reduce. Every year should reduce in price. Right now she has to take 75 mg of Atopica a month ($204 a month). She started out at 125 mg. Violet has to be weaned off of this medication slowly. The best case scenario would be that she eventually can be without it. Violet also needs biweekly allergy shots, a special bath 2 times a week and oral flea medication every 2 weeks. Daphne is a family dog and is very sad to be in a kennel facility.
Beautiful Daphne is a gentle and sweet lioness who can't wait to go home with you. Growing up in a family, it is hard for Daphne to now live in a boarding facility. Daphne' s former owners became victims of the foreclosure crisis and lost their house. Daphne grew up with two young children and another dog. She loves to go on car rides and long walks in the park. Daphne is currently receiving obedience training and is a smart little girl! Daphne is a very loyal dog and would also do great with a single person. All she needs is somebody who will make Daphne is/her best friend!

Inga is a beautiful coated Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix. She is big, loves people and looks like a bundle of sunshine. Inga is 2-1/2 years old. She has some training, walks well on the leash and seems to do well with other dogs. She may have been from a family that lost their home to foreclosure as she was well-taken care of. This is Charlie! He is 5 years old, Cocker Spaniel, neutered, healthy and very sweet! He gets along great with dogs and cats, doesn't mind our guinea pigs either! He doesn't like surprises nor people sticking anything in his face, but neither do I. He loves his walks and enjoys some good cuddles at the end of the day! He wants to love and be loved, that's his mission!

Do you have a soft spot in your heart for this wonderful 11 month old boy. He was burned by his owner and dumped at the shelter. His trainer has bailed him out and is searching for a good home. She says he is a great dog, obedience trained and not destructive. His wounds are healing and his hair will grow back. He is a black Labrador Retriever, great with kids and dogs. Taibo (5-6 yrs old, in good health) as an outside dog. We anticipate that Taibo can quickly adapt to living in/outdoors with any family as he is a very friendly golden retriever mix and answers well to basic commands. He has never lived with any children other than teenagers. Taibo is super friendly with everyone that he meets. Note that Taibo can be hyper if lacking daily mental/physical exercise, common with most golden retrievers. Taibo has all updated vaccinations however he is not neutered.

Nice Guy Eddie is a 4 year old lab / pit mix with a heart of gold. After being picked up as a stray he spent 9 days in a high kill shelter. One of our SCGRR volunteers saw him and was told he had an hour to live. The rescuer could not let him die. Eddie is such a sweet boy and likes other dogs.
